The Ferrari team in Maranello (Italy) as an opportunity for Interns or Thesis applicants to join our AI Modelling team. Within the engineering team and working on Machine Learning and accelerating artificial intelligence capabilities in order to evaluate and further improve vehicle performance.
Your opportunity to analyse and further develop data driven models, applying ML (machine learning) techniques and support predictive models that are used to evaluate the performance across different indicators (KPIs). There will include performance estimation of aerodynamic force, tyre variables. For the analysis you will include internal data (simulator, wind tunnel, road and track testing data) and seek correlation or comparison with external data, in order to develop models for predictive behaviour.
Ferrari is looking for a current Master engineering or data sciences student, motivated to join us for a 6-month curricular internship and dedicated Thesis project.

And as a result you will have a dedicated interest (and potentially first experience) in following areas : Neural networks, Deep Learning, Linear Algebra, Data optimization & Statistics, and ideally strong use of Python programming.
You will not only have a passion for automotive and innovative solutions, but also already gained first work-experience through internships or projects that allow you to understand complexity and help you to develop your personal and communicative skills. Potentially you have worked on student engineering competitions (example : Formula-SAE, Formula Student, Shell Eco Marathon or similar).
In Ferrari you must exhibit the capability to think analytically, target-oriented and structured, demonstrate strong communication skills (including as in-depth reasoning).
