EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND PLUS - ESF+ HOW EUROPE INVESTS IN PEOPLE The University of Bologna organizes a number of initiatives on its Campus locations in cooperation with the Association Almae Matris Alumni, entities and enterprises of the region Emilia Romagna to support the transition from University to the job market of students, graduates, PhDs. The activities include mentoring, seminars, labs, meeting opportunities with companies and at the company premises, with clusters and regional research centres. What is the European Social Fund Plus The European Social Fund Plus is the main financial instrument by which Europe invests in people to qualify citizens' skills, strengthen their ability to cope with labour market changes, promoting quality employment and combating economic, social, gender and generational inequalities. The ESF+ 2021-2027 Programme of the Emilia-Romagna Region The Emilia-Romagna Region through a process of discussion with local authorities, stakeholders and the economic and social partnership, has developed its strategy of programming the available resources, amounting to over 1 billion euros. The Programme is the main instrument for implementing the European Pillar of Social Rights at regional level. The projects financed with ESF+ resources are selected by the Region through public procedures that guarantee quality and transparency. This is how the Regional Programme is transformed into concrete opportunities for people and businesses and how the Region invests in the future of its community.
