  • Date: 09 OCTOBER 2025  from 9:00 to 17:00

  • Event location: Centro Ricerche Enea Brasimone, 40032 Camugnano (Bologna)

  • Type: Meeting Companies

The Centro Ricerche ENEA del Brasimone, is situated on the shores of Lake Brasimone, in an area between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. It is one of the most important research centres in our area dedicated to magnetic confinement nuclear fusion technologies, heavy liquid metal technologies in the nuclear field, the development and qualification of innovative materials, environmental radiometry with particular reference to the development of lead-cooled Fast Reactors (LFRs) and the development and qualification of innovative materials, environmental radiometry.

The Centre cooperates with students and PhDs on analytical and experimental theses and doctoral works, it also activates scholarships and EEG. It is characterised by a historic vocation for experimental research and operates and manages a park of experimental infrastructures that is unique in the world.

The day is dedicated to exploring the research and development activities conducted at the Centre, with a particular focus on the Experimental Engineering Division. The event offers an overview of the experimental facilities, ongoing projects, and concrete opportunities for students, PhD students, research fellows, and young researchers. The event will provide an occasion for discussion, sharing, and building new collaborations between ENEA and the University of Bologna.

The program begins with a presentation of the Experimental Engineering Division, where managers and new hires will share their innovative projects, career development testimonials, and information on how to apply for positions and work at the Centre. This part will end with a Q&A session followed by a visit to the plant and laboratories in small groups.

A welcome coffee and lunch will be offered to the participants.

A transfer will be available organised by the Research Centre from/to Bologna (leaving at 9 am, returning at 5 pm approximately).
